We are a fast growing start-up building our Sales team here in Austin, TX. The Senior Account Executive we hire will be an integral part of our team, and will ideally have leadership aspirations in mind for their future. While direct sales will be the initial focus of this position, we’re looking for someone interested in growing their career as we grow our business. In collaboration with our CRO you’ll have the opportunity to drive team formation, plan development, and go-to-market strategy. You'll engage with existing clients and prospective customers to deliver services that benefit their online and brick & mortar stores, add efficiency to their operations, and better support their customers both in-store and online.

In this role you will:

  • Build relationships with key retailers at senior and mid-senior levels across multiple market segments
  • Identify, qualify, engage and support revenue growth opportunities through direct selling
  • Oversee strategic accounts and forge lasting partnerships with new and existing customers
  • Develop sales strategies to suit complex customer needs
  • Execute sales cycles that result in closing a wide variety of enterprise-level commercial deals
  • Generate leads and develop a pipeline with viable opportunities to pursue
  • Support our dynamic start-up culture and grow as a key fixture of our newly formed sales organization and broader global team
  • Work closely with Dropit on-site teams to expand their local relationships with brands and retailers, and work to establish and strengthen higher level corporate relationships as a result
  • Exceed quarterly revenue targets with a strategic, diagnosis-forward sales approach
  • Display accountability in prospecting, cultivating, forecasting, negotiating, and closing deals
  • Provide thought leadership and become a reliable subject matter expert by attending industry events and staying on top of current market trends and developments
  • Develop strategies to address industry shifts, technical developments, and client concerns
  • Surface insights and observations to inform and help shape our future product roadmap
  • Provide detailed sales reports on a regular basis to aid in revenue forecasting and projections
  • Work with a sense of urgency to address multiple deliverables with tight timelines

Skills and experience necessary for success:

  • 5+ years of B2B sales experience in the tech (preferably SaaS) industry is a must!
  • 2+ years of managing complex client partners, negotiating with senior leaders, and closing complex, long-term commercial agreements (Ideally within the retail ecosystem of technology)
  • Experience in the retail space a plus
  • Process-driven with working knowledge of CRM platforms (Hubspot and/or SFDC)
  • Proven ability to collaborate in tight partnership with Product and Marketing teams
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong track record of building lasting relationships
  • Excellent communication, analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills
  • Comfortable presenting and articulating complex ideas to external and internal stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of brands, retailers, eCommerce marketplaces, as well as order fulfillment technology is a big advantage
