What We're Looking For
We are seeking a brilliant, hardworking, and highly motivated engineer to join our CTO team. This is an excellent opportunity to have a direct impact on feature decisions and the future of our product.
Responsibilities
- Reinforce our CTO team and contribute to our development philosophy.
- Architect, design, develop, deploy, and operate our services in a DevOps manner.
- Continuously refactor code and architecture as we grow.
- Collaborate closely with product, design, and data teams to prototype the future of the company.
- Lead technical design reviews to maintain high standards of code quality.
- Mentor and guide developers, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment.
- Identify and resolve performance and scalability issues to ensure our systems can handle high traffic volumes.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, integrating relevant advancements into our development process.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for code and system architecture.
Requirements
- BSc in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
- A proactive leader and team player with a hands-on coding approach.
- Highly analytical with a high standard for code quality, testing, and performance.
- 8+ years of professional software development experience.
- 4+ years of experience writing distributed, high-volume services and maintaining them in production.
- 2+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design of new and current systems.
- Broad knowledge of operating system internals, networking, and cloud environments.
- Experience with Microservices architecture is a must; Event Sourcing experience is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of DevOps practices, including CI/CD, automated testing, and infrastructure as code.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think critically and creatively.
- Strong communication skills, capable of explaining complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Familiarity with security best practices and protocols for backend systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with real-time data processing and streaming technologies.
- Knowledge of advanced machine learning techniques and their applications in backend systems.
